I purchased this table hoping that it would look as good as it does in the photo and that it would be easy to put together.....successful on both of those accounts. I also purchased a separate set of two of the cross back chairs....only took me a couple hours to put all 6 chairs together and literally 15 minutes or so to put the dining table together. Well worth the price and looks great when finished. I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a nice dining room without a $1k price tag.

Shipping was also well worth it...the company selling the item did a great job of packaging the furniture in a manner than ensured it would not be damaged during shipment.

I am writing this review while having a sandwich on my spanking new Dining table.

Looks: Great overall looks. Color is rich and goes super with yellowish lights in the room.

Size: Decent size. Accommodates 4-6 persons easily.

Quality: Quality is good. You can feel that the table is strong and sturdy. The table legs are thick enough to support the weight of the table + food + wine + Water + glasses + cutlery + my giant hands. Same goes for the chair. It seems strong enough. The quality of the wood looks nice and is nicely polished on the top and the sides to give it a smooth look.

Packaging: This was outstanding. The items came in 2 separate boxes ( one having the table , and the other with 4 chairs). Almost each item inside was wrapped in a separate sponge wrap and the whole thing was further protected with polystyrene. The table came is a box inside another box with layers of foam between them. This table is gorgeous and elegant--it looks just as it does in the picture once assembled. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable. The only problem with it is that any time you place anything on the surface of the table--even a book--it leaves a temporary whitish mark. The only way to get rid of these marks is to wipe the table down. If you wipe it down with anything other than furniture polish it leaves obvious streaks. Since I don't use the table often (mostly when I have company), it's fine for me, but if you will be using it frequently you might want to consider higher quality wood.
